OOSDC-Our Own Sharjah Diplomacy Conference
On 5th October 2024, Our Own English High School, Sharjah, proudly hosted the Our Own Sharjah Diplomacy Conference (OOSDC). The event was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul General of India. In his speech he mentioned, ‘The spirit of diplomacy showcased here today is a testament to the boundless potential of these young leaders to navigate complex global issues with wisdom and compassion’.
Mr. Michael Guzder, Senior Vice President of Indian Schools, GEMS EDUCATION graced the occasion with his presence. Principal, Ms. Asma Gilani, noted, ‘This conference is a celebration of the power of youth to shape the world.’
Over 150 delegates from 16 schools, engaged themselves in passionate debates across eight committees, from the UNSC to the International Press Corps. The first day set the stage for what promises to be an inspiring journey of academic excellence and global citizenship.

At the Codeavour 5.0 UAE National Championship held at Amity University Dubai on April 27, 2024, 2 teams from OOS under the senior category, Team THE UX(Thanusri Thirunarayanan, Christina Johnson, Aavani Balan), and Team Tech Ventures( Malakh Sharafuddin, Lavanya Keshav Vaity, Lipica Anoop), emerged as gold and silver winners, respectively.
