Our Own High School, Sharjah (Girls) is one of the leading Indian Curriculum Schools in UAE affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE), New Delhi, India. Affiliation number: 6630015

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by Union Government of India.

The school follows the CBSE curriculum from Grades 1 to 12. The CBSE curriculum is designed and developed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi which ensures quality education to all its students The NCERT guide lines form the backbone of the curriculum from Grades 9 to 12.  It prepares students for the All India Secondary School Examination AISSCE (at the end of Grade 10) and the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (at the end of Grade 12). 

After the successful completion of the AISSCE students are eligible for admission to universities and colleges of higher education in India and across the globe. Students find placements in professional, technical and general education courses in India and abroad as they do exceedingly well in various entrance examinations and qualifying tests such as SAT, TOEFL, JEE, AIPMT, AIEEE etc.

Gold Category in the Health Promoting Schools (HPS)

OOS has been awarded the prestigious Gold Category in the Health Promoting Schools (HPS) inspection conducted by Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA). This program, introduced for the first time, evaluates schools based on the highest standards of health and safety.

Our Own English High School received the prestigious Green Flag Award for three consecutive years from 2014 from ECAT (Emirates Center for Arab Towns) an international NGO that promotes sustainable development through environmental education.
