On 5th November 2024, the auditorium at Our Own English High School Sharjah (Girls) was filled with eager anticipation as students from Grades 9 to 12 gathered for an inspiring session with His Excellency Mr. Satish Kumar Sivan, the Consul General of India to the UAE. Students from Our Own English High School Sharjah (Boys) and GEMS Millennium School were also present, joining the event to gain valuable insights from a distinguished leader. Mr. Michael Guzder, Senior Vice President of Indian Schools at GEMS Education, and Ms. Asma Gilani, Principal Our Own English High School Sharjah (Girls) graced the occasion with their presence, making it a unique opportunity to inspire students through direct interaction.

Mr. Sivan delivered a motivational talk that emphasized the importance of vision and leadership in shaping one’s future. He encouraged students to explore books beyond the digital realm, highlighting that “books, especially biographies, open our minds and teach us the essence of life.
