Annual Prize Day

In a spectacular celebration inspired by "The Greatest Showman," Our Own English High School, Sharjah (Girls), joyfully hosted its Annual Prize Day on the 3rd and 4th of July 2024.

The event was illuminated by the presence of distinguished guests who added a touch of grandeur and inspiration. Among the esteemed attendees were Mr. Michael Guzder, Senior Vice President of Indian Schools at GEMS Education; Mr. Ganapathi Bhatt, Senior Vice President of Treasury and School Operations at GEMS Education; Dr. Hunada Kanbar, Chief Learning Officer and Assistant Professor for Sharjah Education Academy; Mr.Jonathan Bramley,Vice President,Communications, Gems Education and Ms. Rana Nazzal, School Development and Improvement Expert at the Sharjah Private Education Authority. Their presence underscored the importance of striving for excellence and inspired our students to pursue their dreams relentlessly.

Under the thematic ambiance of ‘The Greatest Showman,’ our auditorium was transformed into a vibrant stage of celebration and artistry. The audience was captivated by an array of theatrical performances, energetic dance sequences, and enchanting musical renditions, each resonating with the spirit and grandeur of the show’s theme. These performances beautifully captured the essence of our students' creativity and determination to bring their dreams to life.

Reflecting on the event, Mr. Michael Guzder highlighted the boundless potential within each student. He remarked, “Today, we celebrate not only your remarkable achievements but also the limitless opportunities that lie ahead. Let your accomplishments today be the stepping stones to even greater success. Remember, your ability to overcome challenges and achieve greatness is boundless.”

Dr. Hunada Kanbar offered her heartfelt congratulations and encouraged the young achievers to be champions of change. She said, “Your aspirations and dreams have the power to transform not just your lives, but the world around you. As women, it is essential that we support and uplift each other. Embrace your ambitions with steadfast determination, and let your ideas create ripples of impact in the lives of those you touch.”

Principal Ms. Asma Gilani expressed immense pride in the students' achievements and gratitude for the unwavering support from the school community. She stated, "The Annual Prize Day is a celebration of our students’ dedication and hard work. It is a testament to their perseverance and the relentless pursuit of their dreams. I am profoundly proud of each student and deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our parents and staff. Together, we foster a nurturing environment where every dream is within reach."
