Junior School Parliament Debate
On January 23, 2025, the Junior School Parliament took center stage with an electrifying debate on the topic, “The Rise of Fitness Culture Does More Harm Than Good.” This event was a remarkable showcase of the intellect and eloquence of our young leaders!
The debate was seamlessly hosted by our middle schoolers, Sara Shery and Fathima Nafeesa. The school Vice Principal, Ms. Hemlata Thawani, delivered an inspiring address, underscoring the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle while being mindful of the potential risks of burnout in today’s fitness-obsessed culture.
This year, the session was graced by Dr. Anju Elizabeth Cherian, one of our esteemed parent body members, who presided as the Speaker. The debate ignited a passionate exchange of ideas, with both the Ruling and Opposition teams presenting compelling arguments, confident rebuttals, and thought-provoking insights that left the audience in awe.
In a thrilling conclusion, the audience voted against the motion, marking the event as a triumph of critical thinking, teamwork, and dynamic debating skills.
Heartfelt congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performances! The Junior Parliament Debate Session was a true celebration of young brilliance and the power of dialogue.
