Asma Gilani

Ms. Asma Gilani has been in the field of education for 32 years. The vast experience and expertise gained is a result of teaching in multi-cultural school environments in New Delhi and the UAE. She has successfully lead diverse teams as Head of Department and Headmistress both in India and Sharjah. In her current role as Principal she has strategically brought transformational changes in the school. She is also a member of the Sharjah Principals Council and works closely with SPEA. As Lead Collaborator of the CBSE ‘Hubs of Learning’ initiative, she collaborates with other member schools in the UAE to enhance the quality of education.

Her greatest accomplishment is the unleashing of potential and talent in the staff as almost all the middle management leaders of the school are homegrown. She provides ample opportunities for students to learn and grow and motivates them to excel in academics and extra- curricular activities which is visible in the outstanding CBSE results along with a large representation at the National level in various sporting tournaments organized by CBSE. Under her leadership, the school was awarded ‘The Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance in the Outstanding School and Administration category’ and the ‘The Green Flag’ for four consecutive years.
