TIMMS

TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) is a large-scale international assessment of mathematics and science in Year 5 and Year 9, conducted by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA).

TIMMS 2015 school results show that:

  • 81% of the students are above intermediate level in Mathematics compared to 92% in Science.
  • 19% of the students are classified as below intermediate based on their Mathematics skills and this represents 8% of the students in Science.

PISA

PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) is a benchmarking test for 15-year-olds and is held every 3 years in Science, Mathematics and Reading.

  • Our students have achieved significantly higher mean scores in Mathematical Literacy, Reading Literacy and Scientific Literacy compared to the average achievement of males and females of Sharjah Private International Schools.
  • No students "AT RISK" as none of our students have scored below Level 2 in all four domains.
  • Conducted every 3 years.

CAT4

CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test Fourth Edition) assesses developed abilities, Verbal Reasoning(thinking with words), Quantitative (or Numerical) Reasoning (thinking with numbers), Non -Verbal Reasoning (thinking with shapes) and Spatial Ability(thinking with shapes and space).

ASSET

ASSET is a skill based test that measures student’s conceptual understanding, benchmarks school’s performance at an international, national & regional level with actionable insights through easy-to-understand reports.

BASELINE

BASELINE and BASELINE Tests provide you with an efficient, child-friendly and reliable way of assessing literacy, language and communication and mathematics in three short, picture-based sections that require no reading, as they enter school (Baseline) and at the end of their first year in school (Baseline Progress).
